FAQs

What is The Process Wellness Foundation?

The Process Wellness Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making high-quality, culturally-responsive mental health care accessible and affordable. We provide low-fee therapy services through a team of pre-licensed therapists, while also supporting the professional development and sustainability of early-career clinicians.

Who can receive services from the Foundation?

Our services are available to individuals, couples, and families in California who are seeking support but may face financial, systemic, or cultural barriers to traditional therapy. We welcome clients from all backgrounds, with special care for historically marginalized communities—including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those navigating economic hardship.

How much does therapy cost through the Foundation?

We offer therapy on a sliding scale, starting as low as $30 per session. Fees are based on household income and individual circumstances. Our goal is to reduce financial barriers without compromising the quality of care.

Who provides the therapy?

All services are provided by pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) Associates and Trainees who are supervised by licensed, experienced clinicians. Our team is deeply committed to trauma-informed, inclusive, and ethical care.

How do I sign up for therapy services?

You can fill out our contact form on our website to join our waitlist. After we receive your information, our clinical intake team will review your needs and match you with an available therapist who’s the right fit.

Are sessions in-person or virtual?

We offer both in-person sessions at our Orange County office and virtual sessions via secure telehealth platforms, depending on your preference and therapist availability.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, we do not accept insurance. Our low-fee model is designed to be an accessible alternative to traditional insurance-based care.

How is the Foundation funded?

We are funded through a combination of donations, grants, fundraising events, and support from The Process Wellness Collective. 100% of donations go toward subsidizing therapy services and supporting our clinicians.
